The word "contestant" used throughout this publication and any other form of media produced by Ultimate Extravaganza Pageant Systems "UEPS" indicates the minor entering the pageant and a parent or legal guardian of the minor. UEPS considers a minor to be any person under the age of 18 unless state law indicates otherwise. All contestants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the pageant. All entry forms must have an original signature of a parent or legal guardian if the contestant is below the age of 18.
Precious Princess is a Semi Glitz Pageant which means that you are free to express your creativity. Hair and make-up is permitted in moderation. If you prefer a natural look, that is okay, too. Please remember the important thing is to let your child's unique beauty and personality shine through. We encourage outfits and routines that are age appropriate.
We recommend pageant style dresses. All contestants are given 60 seconds on stage to walk. There will be marks on the stage for the contestant which indicate where to walk. No props are allowed. Music will be provided by UEPS for Beauty. Beauty Walk is 50% of the total score. Judges will be looking for poise, facial beauty and overall look.
Outfit of Choice Routine
This category allows the contestant to wear anything they would like to show their style and express their unique personality within the theme of silver screen stars. That means it must reference movies, television, cartoons or animation. The contestant is given 90 seconds. Music can be brought to the pageant, but needs to be appropriate for all listening audiences. Music must be on an individual CD. All CDs must have contestant's first name, last name, and age. If music is not cut to the time limit it will be turned off at 90 seconds. If music is not provided, UEPS will choose music for the contestant. Props can be used, but must be able to be set by the contestant in less than 30 seconds. Outfit of Choice is worth 50% of the total score. Judges will be looking for personality, originality and overall look.
All dances and acrobatics are acceptable for Outfit of Choice routine. Contestants over the age of 24 months who have a special skill or talent they would like to exhibit are free to do so. Singing, playing a musical instrument, etc are permitted. The same rules apply- the choice of outfit must make sense with the routine- for example dressing like Michael Jackson and singing a Michael Jackson song.
UEPS or any of its affiliates will not be held responsible for any injury. Props are allowed, but there are limitations. Absolutely no fire, water, swords, knives, glass, pyrotechnics, or live animals. All props must be set in 30 seconds or less and the contestant or representative must set the stage. Music must be age appropriate and choreography must be tasteful. If any of these rules are broken a 5 point deduction will occur.
All contestants will be judged fairly by each judge.
All judge's decisions are final. In the event of any tie the judges have the right to break the tie to decide a winner.
